Education: 1996-2001 Prestwick Academy, Prestwick, Scotland.
2002-2006 Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, Scotland. Gained a BDes Honours Degree in Jewellery and Metalwork Design.

Ideas for Lima Jewellery began in the summer of 2006 when I began to arrange exhibitions and gather material for a website. At present I live in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and work in "Sinclairs of Inverurie", a local jewellers   www.sinclairsofinverurie.co.uk.

I have recently studied towards gaining a Professional Jewellers Diploma which will further enhance my knowledge of commercial/contemporary design and retailing jewellery.

The main source of inspiration for my work is composition, whether it is the exact placing of a model in a photograph or the evocative arrangement of objects and materials in their surroundings.

I tend to use familiar, everyday objects, which may not be artistically important as a whole, but through deconstructing them into parts and combining them with other materials such as precious metals to create a new compositional design, a new relationship will form and the original object will gain a new significance.
